3. long face : a sad or dissatisfied facial expression

- Judy walked around all day with a long face because she did not get invited to the party.

 

4. pain in the neck : annoying, bothersome

- waiting for the bus on cold, windy corner is a pain in the neck.

 

5. pull someone's leg : to trick someone

- Tomorrow is not a holiday. Don't believe Richard. He is just pulling your leg!

 

6. shake a leg : to hurry up

- we have to be at school in twenty minute. you had better shake leg.

 

7. have butterflies in one's stomach : to feel extremely nervous

- Thomas had butterflies in his stomach when he stood in front of his class to give his speech.
